Why Is It That One $25 Million Bond Issues is Put to a Vote of the Taxpayers – But Another Bond Issue – in the Exact Same Amount – Is Not ??

Just because you CAN do something – doesn’t mean you SHOULD.   While true – that the funding for the new library does not require a vote of the taxpayer, it’s absolutely not true that the citizens of the City of Lincoln aren’t on the hook for repayment (e.g. a general obligation bond).

Why is one $25M GO Bond issue on the Ballot – but Another is Not
